Background

Before earning his law degree from Cornell Law School, Bill earned a master of fine arts degree in English, with distinction, from Cornell University, where he studied with the poet A.R. Ammons and taught sections of the freshman comp classes, "Writing About Film" and "Writing from Experience."

Bill has frequently written in the tradition of the sonnet cycle.  His collection, Plan B, was published by Three Rail Press, a house he founded and which subsequently published The Apparitioners by George Witte.  Bill directed the first feature-length movie to be shot in high definition.  A black comedy set in a fictional Seattle startup, "Dot Con" aired frequently in the early days of HDNet, the first all-high definition national television network.
