If We Build It, You Will Innovate

In the debate over whether the State of Washington should impose an income tax, the best thinking I've seen has come from Nick Hanauer during an event this week at the Tacoma campus of the University of Washington.

Hanauer makes the point that we shouldn't be surprised to find innovation thriving best in regions that tax more. He argues that there is a correlation between tax burden and quality of public education and infrastructure.
